Yavuz Selim Günay

Yavuz Selim Günay has considerable experience in international transactions, corporate and commercial law, contracts law, technology law and dispute resolution. Previously, he worked as the Chief Legal Counsel and Head of Contracts of Havelsan, being Turkey's leading software and hardware company operating in the defense sector. He is highly experienced as a litigator and a corporate lawyer on a broad scope of legal matters from corporate governance to high-profile arbitration cases. He represents many start-ups in technology sector as well as venture capital firms and angel investors. He is also a part time professor at Bilkent University teaching on technology law.

Yavuz obtained his LL.B. from Bilkent University, and an LL.M. in International Business Law from London School of Economics. He also obtained a second LL.M. on Corporate and Commercial law from Gazi University. Yavuz is currently a Ph.D. candidate on entrepreneurial finance.

Yavuz frequently speaks at conferences on legal issues. He is the author of the book titled ”Representation of Joint Stock Companies”, in addition to several other book chapters and articles published in English and Turkish.
